American Airlines has limited flights into Stillwater.
Stillwater is approximately 78 miles from both the Tulsa and Oklahoma City International airports. Both airports are well served by major airlines with connections to major hub cities – Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston.
The major rental agencies have cars at both the Tulsa and Oklahoma City Airports. Enterprise offers rentals at the Stillwater Airport.
The Web Handling Research Center (WHRC) at Oklahoma State University was formed in 1986 as an Industry/University Cooperative Research Center to perform fundamental and applied research and knowledge transfer in web handling. The Center is funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation, the Noble Foundation, the Kerr Foundation, and 9 industrial corporations. The WHRC has hosted this premier Seminar two times each year since 1991.
An act of the first Oklahoma Territorial Legislature created the Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College in 1890. This was just twenty months after the land run into Central Oklahoma and seventeen years before Oklahoma statehood! Oklahoma A&M College became Oklahoma State University in 1957. Today, OSU is a comprehensive, research-oriented institution committed to excellence in serving the needs of the State and Nation.
